DVD Transfers and Masters

As an added value service to our video and dvd duplication services,we can now offer low-cost transfers to and from DVD. We use the amazing Pioneer LX-1 DVD mastering deck/computer. This deck has two dvd drives, as well as a hard drive for storage. We can transfer at full component specifications, directly to DVD-spec mpeg2, with variable bit-rate, and variable noise reduction. This real-time system delivers mpeg2 quality equivalent to most software encoders.

Video Editing Services

Over the years we have edited quite a large volume of work for our clients. We have currently three full edit bays, two are using Incite software, a system almost unknown in the US, but well known to broadcasters in Europe and Asia. Some call it "Avid on Steroids" It is a very capable system. The third bay is currently DV-only, running Sony's Vegas software. DVD Duplication and Packaging

We offer DVD-R duplication and packaging for volumes of up to 500 discs. Our Dup System is a rack of Industry-Standard Pioneer DVD-R drives, and direct-disc printing on the Industry-Standard Primera Signature Pro printer. Standard packaging includes case, printed sleeve and shrink-wrap. Our sleeve printing is with color laser printers for the best quality in low-volume printing. We use Amaray-Style cases for our standard packaging. Each disc is individually shrink-wrapped. We can also offer UPC bar-coding for retail discs.

Small Guage Film Transfer

We have recently installed a pair of new Tobin Cinema small guage transfer systems. We have been really pleased with the results we are obtaining from the Tobin systems. We have both a Regular 8 and a Super 8 machine, and we use them regularly. Technically, these machines are well built, solid, and should last quite a while before needing any types of repairs. They are easy to operate, and are quite gentle on the film. We have had Elmos in the past, and quite frankly, I would be afraid to put customer's film through them. There is too much risk of damage. The image quality is quite good with the Tobins, and using a TBC on the output adds even more range to the recorded signal. These great machines are a worthy addition to our lab, and are good companions to our larger telecines. Considering all the choices on the market to do small gauge transfers, I think Clive Tobin (and Electric Pictures) has a clear winner on his hands.

Video Production Services

We offer complete field production services with several camera packages available. Our main camera is the new Panasonic HVX200, an amazing 3-chip camera, recording to both High Definition or Standard Definition.

We also offer multi-camera live -switch capability. The current system features two cameras, C-G, and a computer interface for import of Powerpoint slides and other computer-generated content. Output can be capteured to hard-drive, videotape, and also projected live.

Micro-Dolly and Micro-Jib setups are available, and add a lot of visual interest to your productions. Most of the videos we work on are corporate and business oriented, and we have a nice client list. Video Duplication Services

Format conversion and duplication are primary services at Electric Pictures. We are looking for additional obsolete/archival format machines, and we are positioned to re-purpose your content into current/usable formats, on tape or data. Please call us with your needs. If we do not have a solution, we can find a vendor who does.
