 We transfer 16mm and 35mm using a Bosch/BTS/Philips FDL-60C. This is a time-tested CCD-based telecine that has been used by most major motion picture and television production companies. We specialize in older films, transfers from original camera negative and positive films, including amatuer films, and professional productions. The FDL is known for it's outstanding image quality and it's gentle handling of archival material. It is capstan driven, and uses the films sprockets only for timing, not for moving the film through the gate.
We consider the finished videotape to be an Original- to be used for viewing, or as an edit source. Your can choose between several formats- BetacamSP, DVCAM, or DVD.
Optionally, this Original Videotape can be edited to includes titles, music, and narration. When your tape is finished, it can then be transferred to the viewing format. This can be DVD, VHS, or even a web format, for streaming on the internet. This process insures that the highest quality is maintained throughout the process, and that the final output is the highest quality possible.
